Nate enjoying his regular chat via webcam with Grandma in Kent. He bashes the keyboard and somehow manages to open hundreds of calandar gadgets. Raining and cold today so we both stayed in our pjs. Is that bad?!? We are washed...*L*

| 35/365 Weeing in the scales at Baby Clinic |

So, Nate had to be weighed today at his check up and as he looks so cute in the scales I asked if I could take a photo. I was so busy farting about getting my camera that I failed to notice he'd pee'd in the scales. *L* See it? Bless! The health visitor wasn't impressed and I had to clear it up. Hee hee. Go Nate!
Believe it or not Nate "Cheeks" Carter is underweight...according to the evil charts. He's 17 lb 6 oz though...not bad. As usual found them totally unhelpful when I asked about weaning. I mentioned baby led weaning and letting him eat finger food and she looked horrified and hadn't even heard of it. Grrr....

We had a funny day today. Nate was a bit grumpy and refused to eat. I tried about four different meal choices all day until I just gave up and gave him a piece of apple to suck (his favourite thing at the moment). Weaning is stressful. :( He's hardly taking anything and doesn't seem to really like eating. He's getting worse actually, and kicks off as soon as we go near the highchair. Ho hum. Guess it will get better and today is just a bad day. Here he is refusing to smile but still having fun trying to find Baby's car with his beater. *L* Lucky he's cute or he'd be in trouble! ;)

Well as I'm sure you are now all aware from the squealing on the journals and flickr pages of all the UK peeps, we had snow. We headed over to the park and played with Nate (and Ren who I somehow managed to not take any pics of?!?). He was very warm in his snow suit and loved messing around with us. No one had to go to work because the London public transport system broke. *L*

Had friends round for a lovely sunday roast. Mick cooked a scrummy leg of lamb which went down well. Too well in fact as there isn't much left to pick at tomorrow! Here's Nate playing with Ren...Oh and it started snowing...hard. Weee!

We ventured into town today to get vittles for Sunday lunch tomorrow. We visited Borough Market and got lovely veggies, wine, cheese and bread. It was busy but Nate coped well with the crowds and new sights and sounds.

We went to the Selkirk in Tooting today for lunch with my friend Tanya and her 18 month old daughter Isabella. T'was lots of fun and I had a yummy risotto. I was having so much fun I forgot to take any pics while we were out so here's one of Nate at home this morning, sporting his warm cardie that has a monster on the zip. Note the awesome dribble.

Well, not so much eating it as wearing it, rubbing it in his eyes and spitting it out of his mouth. He's holding the spoon himself too, you just can't see in this shot. He doesn't like to be fed, only to feed himself. Very messy business. Six months old tomorrow...can't believe it's gone so fast.

I love how if he cries, his eye lashes dry in little clumps like this.
Been talking to my Mum, or Grandma as we now call her, on the web cam this afternoon. Nate got all "whippy" and chucked a mental at about 4.30 so I put him to bed and took secret piccies of him while he slept! Mwah ha!
Oh, and my friend Vicky called today and said she's coming to visit me in Feb. I'm mega chuffed cos I love her and really miss her (she's still in Leeds) and haven't seen her for ages. Yay! |

| 26/365 Sitting up in the bath |

We don't like laying in the bath now we can sit up. *L*
Nate has taken to banging his head on the bath when he's laid in it so we have to sit him up. Crafty little bugger. Had an early bath as JC and Genie were coming to visit. He thankfully slept like a log following a busy morning at Baby House, playing with Maya and Theo and a quick whip round the supermarket for supplies. Mummy was tired too after walking about a zillion miles with the buggy.
I am gettting increasingly crap at posting these every day. I keep having to backdate them! I have no trouble taking a pic each day, in fact I take too many.

| 25/365 Cookin' Bubba Fud |

Today we made loads of baby food for weaning Nate. He's 6 months on the 29th so we need to get going. We made pear, carrot and parsnip for starters and have corgette and apple to do next. God knows if he will eat any of it. Oh, and he's terrified of the blender. *L* Really terrified. He burst into tears when we turned it on and then when we tried to introduce him to it gradually, he clung on to me tighter than he ever has before. It was really cute actually. I am the protector! ;P

A rare pic of Nate crying! Bless! My cousin came to visit with her hubby and little boy, Elliot. Nate burst into tears as soon as he saw them! He never used to be worried by new people but I guess 'stranger danger' is kicking in. Poor little guy. They very kindly dropped off Elliot's old high chair for us (I say old but it looks brand new!) so we'll be getting used to that in the next few days. He did have a wee go in it tonight though and seems to quite like it.

He's started really playing with the soft toys in his cot before going to sleep. It's cute because you find him with softies scattered all around him. Nate's unaware that Mummy and Daddy are watching the first two episodes of Lost, series 5 while he sleeps. Sad aren't we?!

| 21/365 Nightly 90 degree cot spinning |

Nate has signed up for a spinning class. Unfortunately it's the kind that happens in his cot at night when he's supposed to be sleeping. We keep finding him like this, weeping because he's hurt his head. We have a bumper but it doesn't go all the way round the cot (damn it! Note to myself for next time...get decent bumper). We are not really sure how he manages such athletics but do find it quite amusing. Nutter baby...
Not much of interest to report today...I had to go to the dentist to get a crown prepared...my teeth are crappy. :( Did manage to force myself to go to yoga tonight with Ren, and can report my shoulder stand is improving. LOL.

He's really getting to love the camera...any camera. A phone, an SLR, a web cam...any thing. He smiles straight away and wants you to show him the pic you just took. I think it's mad he knows what they are. Went to Baby House again today and was still to shy to take a pic. Maybe next week...tee hee!

He's fascinated with the web cam on my laptop. As soon as he sees the laptop he makes this delighted "Aaahh!" sound...then he grumbles until you switch the cam on and let him see himself. He wriggles around, revelling in the sight of his wee face. A narcissist...another trait he has inherited from his Dad. *L*

While I was playing with Nate today I noticed this on the back of his label. *L* I hadn't seen it before...probably because he was always laying down. Cute! Spent the day tidying the house in preparation for putting it on the market. Clearing clutter and the like. I'll be sad to leave my lovely little flat. :( And one from the front...just cos he's cute.
